Elvis Presley Career

Presley’s mother gifted him a guitar on his 11th birthday in 1946 and it was his first gift and a few years later he got his first taste of musical success when he won a talent show at Hume’s High School in Memphis.

After graduating in 1953, he took up several jobs while pursuing his musical dreams. In 1955, Presley began to develop an unusual musical style and this inspired fans to follow him, with provocative gyrating hips and good looks.

His manager, Colonel Parker, bought a deal that same year and signed him with RCA Records. Elvis came into limelight following the success of his first 1 album as well as his 1st single with “Heartbreak Hotel”. Elvis also got a chance to sing with Paramount Pictures  in 1956. A variety of television shows invited him and made him a popular guest.
